    A Standard Driver Abstract provides information from an individual’s driving record, including:

    Driver information (name, address, licence number and issue date, etc.)

    Driver’s appearance (height, weight, sex, etc.)

    Current status of the driver's licence

    Conviction information

    Demerit points

    Suspensions.

  • Commercial Driver Abstract

    A CDA is similar to the current Driver Abstract with the addition of specific information relating to a commercial driver.

    A CDA contains:

    Existing driver’s abstract information

    Inspection results from (NSC) infractions results from inspections conducted under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA)

    The CDA uses existing Driver's Abstract information and includes information on National Safety Code (NSC) violations such as:

    Hours of service

    Cargo securement

    Dangerous good

    Mechanical issues

    CVSA inspection results

    The CDA is inclusive of information from any NSC violation received while operating commercially registered vehicles.

  • Vehicle Information Report

    The VIR shows the following information:

    The vehicle’s description, such as year, make, model, style, colour and fuel type

    The vehicle’s status, such as active, rebuilt, salvage etc.

    Odometer reading (if one was provided)

    Registration dates and locations

    The number of liens registered in Alberta against the vehicle, if any
